Project GarbageHouse was a renovation experiment that reimagined a wrecked building in Bodrum as an intentional and affordable living space. From December 2020 to September 2021, I led the architectural transformation of the house—shaping it into a home that prioritised creativity over consumption.
Throughout the process, I documented the entire journey on Instagram (@ProjectGarbageHouse), sharing transparent insights into low-budget building techniques, sourcing secondhand furnishings, and collaborating with local brands.
The project was driven by the belief that thoughtful design doesn’t require excess—that a unique domestic environment can emerge from resourcefulness, reuse, and intuition. It became both a personal learning experience and a public conversation about building differently.
